How To Start a Guild In Free Realms

Unlike in World of Warcraft where starting a guild required convincing ten other players (usually strangers) to sign up and then paying ten gold (again not an easy task for younger characters) creating your own little clique in Free Realms is as easy as finding the Friends List icon, clicking the guild button and setting a name.  But wait!  What the splash page doesn’t tell you is that you will have to be level fifteen in at least one job.

Having a guild can greatly improve gameplay as it brings a more consistent sense of community, resource sharing and family to the gameplay.  The downside of a running a guild is that if you are not selective, you may have to deal with obnoxious gamers who spam requests for help to your guild chat and this can eventually start to feel like a real job that you are not getting paid for.

But the level of complexity this seemingly simple addition adds to the world of Free Realms can not be understated.  It is a massively multiplayer game, after all, and learning how to manage, coordinate, complete goals and organize groups of real people is one of the truly unique features of MMO gameplay.

This, in tandem with the promise of richer story lines in the FR world, promises to make it a far richer game than it was at launch and likely even create some bona fide Free Realms addicts – it is inevitable, the formula always works, for better or worse.

How soon will it be before we start seeing Free Realms epic items on ebay?
